Looking for examples of planned and not built urban projects

I am preparing a post about some urban projects planned in 20 century that were not finally built. Maybe it was the lack of money, maybe neighborhood opposition or just because it was an insane idea.
Urban mega-infrastructures or massive developments, mainly.
I found some examples to mention from London, Vancouver and New York, but any suggestion from other local realities will be very helpful. Feel free to comment or suggest.
